With more than 3,200 flight hours, Captain Arqam Ibrahim Chande is known for his discipline, calm judgment, and a personal philosophy that guides every decision in the cockpit:
“Upward and Forward – and safety first, flying second.”
Arqam began his aviation journey in the USA’s Treasure Coast, an environment that shaped his approach to responsibility and steady growth. After returning home, he joined Coastal Aviation in 2023, gaining operational experience before advancing his skills further with Zantas Air.
He joined Miracle Air for its dynamic growth and strong identity within the wider Miracle Collection – an environment that encourages innovation, structure, and continuous development.
One of his most unforgettable experiences came at Tarime Airstrip: on his first approach, a man on a bicycle crossed the runway; on the second, a car drifted across; on the third, another aircraft was taking off. Only after three patient circuits did he touch down, an experience that strengthened his adaptability and appreciation for bush flying.
Arqam loves flying over the Serengeti, a landscape that changes daily and always tells a story. Before every flight, he follows a simple routine: self-check, guest check-in, paperwork, and weather review – always beginning with a quiet moment to breathe and focus.
Looking ahead, he hopes to mentor future pilots and help young people enter aviation with confidence, responsibility, and a commitment to safety.
